What do you think of when you hear that word.
Do you picture a dove with an olive branch 🕊or the peace ☮️sign, or perhaps being in your favorite spot...in peace.
Now I don’t blame you because I think the majority of us think of those things or those similar when we imagine how peace looks like.
But I’m here to tell you what peace through Gods eyes really is.
Jesus left the disciples with this message soon before he would die on the cross. John 14:27 says “I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.”
Maybe your thinking “how can the world not give me this peace” “and why is God giving me this gift?”
Hate to break it to you but, we live in a terrible and broken world filled with sin.
The world including you and I often think that peace means no more sorrow and brokenness. Living life with no troubles (Hakuna Matata anyone...?)
But as awesome as that sounds, that’s not the kind of peace God gives us. Instead he gives us the peace that is able to withstand despite the bitterness of this world. This kind of peace allows us to transcend above our troubles, and it gives us a clear mind and peaceful heart and spirit in the midst of all the chaos and disappointments in life.
I’m giving you this devotional as a reminder to everyone, whether you’re going to school or have kids going into school, or maybe have nothing to do with school to just remember that God left us with a peace that does not mean no more brokenness but instead to fight and give us a pure heart and mind DESPITE those circumstances.
So I want to ask you, if you’re feeling distraught, broken, far from God, angry, bitter, or perhaps those close to you feel that way or similar. Remind yourself that you don’t need to ask God to get rid of those troubles, but to help you have peace going through those troubles and being able to rise above it all through God. Because in the end it’s all for a reason ;)
Thank you so much for reading this short devotional and I want to remind you that the reason I do this is for my readers, reading this very moment, yes, you! Thank you!
And I hope you can come back next week for my SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT! Get excited and I’ll see you next time!
Hey there! Today’s blog post is a little bit different, however i think its a pretty important one and hope you will like it.
Anyways, todays topic is a bit hard to pull through, but I’m gonna do it. It all started at Carver. My elementary school. I went there from 3rd to 6th grade. It was a great school. Amazing. My best friends went there, there was great teachers too. 7th grade came around, and my family always had this idea that we should homeschool. But it was kinda too late, plus I really didn’t want to. I went to Goddard, my middle school for 7th grade. And don't’ get me wrong, it was a great school. I love my friends there. The way the education was presented however, was a lot different than Carver. You see, Carver was a GT school, it means Gifted and Talented, but don't take it the wrong way, I’m not here to brag “oh i went to carver”. It really just means that they present the same information in a different way. In a more creative way, and it makes you think more outside the box. Anyways, forward back(does that even make sense lol?) to 7th grade. They have Pre-AP/ GT classes. If you were “GT” basically you were just put into Pre-AP. In this case it does mean you learn more advanced than others, but mainly it’s because you learn things and understand them a little faster, and easier. Some of my classes were challenging, but not the ‘think outside the box” kinda way. Sometimes(a lot of the times) it would get a little boring. And in one class, my friend and I would joke that “we were losing brain cells every second spent in there”. Not really but it felt like we weren’t learning to our full potential. So, I decided, I didnt want to stay in that hole, I didn't want to learn at the least of my potential. I wanted to go at my pace, fast (but in math’s case, a lil slower lol).
Do you remember how we had the feeling to kinda homeschool last year? Well for me that feeling was a little stronger. Now, I know this sounds weird, but i had a strange feeling from God, to be homeschool next year. Part of me was really excited for all the opportunities that would come with being homeschooled. But another chunk of me thought “do you really want to be homeschooled? What if its you crazy imagination telling you to be, and not God”
But now I can say and truly feel that it was God telling me that was the way to go. I really have no idea why, and that what makes it so hard when people ask me, “Ohhh how come you’re being homeschooled” I never know what to say to that because I know they won’t get it (so if you’re reading please don’t ask, you already know(: )
Sometimes in life you really don't understand or know why God is leading you through that path, and I still have many doubts, but it all comes from trusting and having faith that God knows what he’s doing and it’s gonna be the best decision once you look back and see the whole picture. This remind me a lot from another blog post I made called Pain for purpose that you should really check out HERE if you’re in a time in your life where you feel God is leading you in an unknown and different direction.
Anyways, that is the way I’m going this school year, and although I’m a little nervous, I’m excited for the most part and can’t wait to see what God has in store for me this year. I will have a lot more time dedicated to blog stuff and blog posts so get excited for that(however that doesn’t mean school is not before)!
Hey guys! Today I will be sharing a devotional because I haven't done one in a long time, and I feel like its one that can be very needed in times. It's about our pain becuase I know we can all go through those rough times, but who do we turn to and what do we do? Well check out this video to learn more about pain for purpose.

Prayer Box DIY
Alright so now, I'm going to show you how to make a prayer box, sometimes, when I'm stressed out, I pray to God. And what this prayer box is, is it keeps you on the right track and not distracted when your praying. I like to write, and if you do too, this will be great for you. Don't think too hard when you write, God already knows. Just talk to him as if he's your best friends.
Now, all you really need is a soap box or any cheap box, sticky notes(or a small pad of paper), and a pen! You can also add soothing scents or whatever calms you down. Here's how mine looks:
Here are some verses you can add into your box!
Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this combo of devotional and DIY! And also hope to see you later this week for another cool blog post!
Hey guys! I hope you are having a good year so far. Today I’m talking about why you shouldn’t give up on goals, dreams, or resolutions! If you work hard, you can go to great places(Figuratively, although i guess you can travel a lot, if you work hard…) . And also it would really help if you could check out the post “New Year, New Solutions…” Because it would really help if you filled out the survey! Anyways let’s get started!
So above is a picture of my work that I did about a year ago. When I made it, I was very proud of myself, but now...not so much. Hand lettering was something I really started enjoying at around that time. And I didnt think about it as something i really wanted to pursue. But the more I did it, the more i enjoyed it, and the more I started practicing and learning from it. That’s the thing about goals and dreams, it has to be something you enjoy or something that motivates you. Or else your more likely to not do it. Although sometimes, that might not be the case. For example, if you’re out of shape and need to exercise, you might start going to the gym. You probably don’t like it, but the end product is something that motivates you. You want to be fit so that’s why you do it. My point is not to do only the things you enjoy because sometimes God might want you to do something that’s hard. The point is to find a different route to enjoying and achieving those goals. You want to finish a product? Encourage yourself. Tell yourself why you want to finish it. And if you’re stuck? Remember why you started.
Back to speaking about my disappointing hand lettering...I have improved! If I didnt keep practicing and doing it, and I started with using Crayola Markers, I would never be where I am. It takes patience. And trust me, I am NOT patient. Ask my parents. But if it is something you really like, you’re more likely to continue it. And I did! So here’s my work now. AFTER practice and determination.
If you want to start a hobby, more specifically hand lettering, don’t be discouraged if it doesn’t look as good as you hope. Oh gosh remember the blog post “Wanna try this cool lettering?” I just like cringed while watching the video right now...Anyways, one of my favorite quotes is “Every professional was once a beginner.” I like it because it makes me feel that even the best person at anything was once in the same spot I am now. So remember that and also remember that if you really want to get good at something, keep working and practicing toward your goal. Because you can do anything with God in your life. I have to give lots of credit to Dawn Nicole Designs. Without her and her blog I would never be where I am now. You should really go check her out if you’re interested she has tons of tutorials, worksheets, and more!
I really hope you enjoyed my blog post for today! And please stay tuned for more coming soon. If you subscribe you can be emailed right when I post something! So please do that and like and tell all your friends! Byeeeeeee
